Robert –
This is the only fixed blade Buck that I regret buying. The picture looks borderline ok, I guess, maybe, but it was cheap so I gave it a shot. Maybe it’s just me, but once I had it in hand, uggg… I’m sure it’s completely functional, and no doubt a great camp knife, plus it’s super light (2.8oz per Buck), but it’s just too ugly in my eyes.
On the positive side it’ll make a good tackle box knife, or one I loan to that unprepared friend, because I won’t be worrying if something happens to it. So I give it 4 stars because I know my vanity is the main issue. For price and weight it’s hard to go wrong.
