I did not like the plastic scales at all. The surface is wavy and sticks out like a sore thumb. I can’t imagine what Buck was thinking.
They also did what I see on most of their knives since Covid, a lack of finishing and care. I guess I’ll finish shaping the body and main blade myself, and fix the bent tip on the main blade, which is somehow rolled upwards.
I also want to sand the waviness of the plastic scales flat, but unsure how this plastic will respond to polishing. It may end badly… I feel like I shouldn’t have to deal with any of the above, and in the past you didn’t.
So if you buy one, do yourself a favor and get a wood version.
