I am a knife collector so I may never take this knife to the field. The quality is top notch for what you pay. If I were to carry this knife I would be some what critical of blade shape. Hard to sharpen and maintain. The Buck 105 Pathfinder is a better overall carry knife.

I hike in the desert by myself, and appreciate the quality of the Buck 103 Skinner in my pack. It arrived in great condition, is sharp, and really beautiful. I was looking for the fatboy blade, and am really happy with it. It was just what I expected. It arrived quickly, and was well packaged.
